Red Sweater KAL
I found this KAL, not that I am prone to them, but RED! I figured I would just read and find out what wonders in RED people made. Then I glanced at my knitting and it's RED! The Nantucket Jacket by Norah Gaughan. It is in the IK Winter 2006. The yarn is Merino from Berroco in a lovely cinamon color. It has the springyness of Merino, cabled in 12 or so plys. This makes the textured pattern really stand out.
I did get the invitation to join the KAL but Beta Blogger is acting up and would not let me join. I guess I'll have to give it another try sometime soon. In the mean time working on the sweater.
My camara has a dead battery so uploading the picture will have to wait.

Is that the superwash merino? I saw it on sale at handknitting .com, and was tempted to pick some up...
It is Pure Merino from Berroco. Machine washable. But I really would not machine wash it! It is way too soft and I think it would pill easy.
Mmmm, what a lovely red.
Thank you for mentioning Mary Black's book on my blog. I have been quite intrigued with the huck and other lace weaves and have been looking for resources. I appreciate the suggestion!
