Hats!

I have been knitting hats. Hand and machine knit hats.

First up the cable tam from Vogue Knitting Holiday 2008.
The yarn is Pure Merino from Berroco. I used slightly more than three balls, needles US 6.

This one is for me! To match a rib warmer.....if I have enough yarn that is.

The other two are knit on the midgauge machine. They are for my husband's granddaughter. The pattern is my own and the result of the combination of techniques found in different patterns for hand and machine knitting:

Machine knit Reversible hat

Another machine knit reversible hat
Handknit hat with earflaps
Machine knit hat with earflaps

The machine knit ones are with some wool/acrylic blend yarn made so a teenage girl can use the washer with no worries.

We'll see what's next!

All of them are fabulous! And I guess it's been cold enough up there for you to wear them. We have our doors and windows open today--cool, but pleasant.

Merry Christmas!
