Weaving!

Oh yeap!

I have been weaving away. This is way fun and great for instant gratification. Love it. On the big loom I have a warp with lots and lots of colors: Botanical Garden. Took forever to setup but it is weaving away nicely. Intended to be table runners x two. It is a point twill pattern from Handwoven.

Then on the table loom I have a warp in burgundy cotton set at 15 epi. The weft is some boucle yarn that I found at the LYS. It is coming out really nice. The best part of this is that the original warp was an old and forgotten AND tangled one I had about 2 yds long TOTAL. I put on an “after thought” dummy warp. I suspect the total weaving length will be close to the two yards.

Hi! I was delighted to find you comment on my blog. You knitting is absolutely stunning. And I spent quite awhile looking at your knitting photographs. Very informative.

Thank you for your compliment about my huck lace. I think a shawl in huck lace would be lovely. Since I'm only starting to explore it myself, I don't have much to offer in the way of suggestions, except for a lovely 8 shaft lace weave which I found in an old Summer 1998 issue (#115) of Shuttle, Spindle, and Dyepot.

I've added you to my bloglines list and will be back.
