Plain Weave

Sharon Alderman in her book Mastering Weave Structures says that you could weave a lifetime with just plain weave, alternating color and yarns. True as can be. The striped cloth is alpaca/wool blend set at 14 epi. The stripes chosen by the random stripe generator. The weft is wool maybe 30/2. I have no idea because I bought it coned and unlabeled. I dyed both the warp and the weft. After a cycle in the washer in "delicates" and pressing and steaming, the cloth came out fulled, with a beautiful halo and wonderful drape. This will probably become a jacket.
Again, blogger will not let me upload pictures. Here is the link.
