Knot Fun!

I hardly ever follow a pattern AS IS. This time I had promised I would. How hard could it be?
The sweater is the Khaki Cables from Knitters Winter 2006. I did modify the pattern but just a bit on the overall length of the body and the sleeves.....
Started Feb the 7th and finished Feb the 22. Not bad other than the frogs sat by me in Icord stage for over a week!
Now it is done and finished, blocked and pictures for you to see.
The cable patterns are great and the overall instructions clear and mistake free.
Yarn: alpaca/wool 50/50 spun by Spinderella
Worsted weight aprox 4 stitches to an inch
Needles US 7.
I used yarn to secure the frogs and not sewing thread as the pattern says to do. Why would you want to use sewing thread?
Off to teach myself FairIsle with two hands!

It came out great! Let me know if you need help with the two-handed fair isle. You know there is a video about it with Anne and whozit Bourgeouis.

Oh! I saw that yarn before you picked it up. Fantastic sweater!

That came out just beautiful! I also never use thread to sew something onto a knit sweater. I always use yarn. Good luck with the two handed color knitting.

I love that sweater! I may be digging out my old magazines because I have some handspun alpaca that I bought in Buffalo last year. I've been waiting for something lovely to make with it - we I actually hoped to design my own but...

You just made my brain hurt!
And I'm green with envy. Rather fitting a few days before St Patrick's day.
