Larger than Life

Thanks to Margene I found this bag from Interweave Crochet. I think she has just about half of the world making these!

The yarn is Phoenix from South West Trading Co. I bought it a while back when they sold it only in natural color. It was handpainted to resemble the Antelope Island colors in the Fall. Deep blues and shades of brown. I might not have been successful at reproducing the colors but I like it.. There are three dye lots and the combination is "interesting" for now. We'll see how it goes when it is assembled. I have 12 squares and the side band is on it's way.

I went to the House Fabrics store and bought a couple of remnants, hey at $1 a yard you can't go wrong. I like the fabric, it is upholstery nice and sturdy. It has to be washed before I do anything with it and it will make a steady liner. The only problem is that my sewing abilities are not quite I would like them to be. As long as I can manage to cut the pieces I think I will be fine.

The other decision to be made is one layer of liner or two? inside pockets or not?

Wow, I'm away from my computer for a few days and look at all the great things you've got going on. Wonderful crochet projects. And jewelry. And weaving.

Is there actually a fiber art you do not know how to do? Beautiful crochet. You have really been extra busy! Can't wait to see the finished bag!
