Swallowtail Shawl

Nice quick knit. I used a ball of Zephyr I found in my stash, looked at it and figured it would do. Right around the middle I was getting concerned I was not going to have enough. But it worked!

I dread blocking, I do not like blocking, just because it is that part of the process where things can get really messed up. This time I wised up and used blocking wires. I had before but this time is was easier, faster and I love the results.

It's so lovely and delicate--I am glad you had enough yarn to finish it. It's one of my favorite knits of all time--and yours is one of my favorite renditions!

Very lovely. What size needles did you use with the Zephyr? This is one of my next projects. I hope mine is half as nice as yours!!!

Just beautiful! I have to make this pattern. It has been on my to-do list for far to long. Also I love your Beadwork and Borghild. I'm planning to make an Elsebeth Lavold design. Wow, your just so prolific. How do you do it?

It's lovely. I'm going to have to get blocking wires, too. Where did you get yours?

That is very lovely, as are all the other things you are finishing. And I have an unreasonable love for my blocking wires. And Zephyr yarn, I love that too.

It's a wonderful pattern. The edge almost looks like the designer incorporated a part of the Estonian Lilies of the Valley pattern into it. Wonderful job. Renate Speaks

It looks gorgeous. I must definitely make a shawl in a white laceweight because it shows so many fantastic details in the pattern. Congrats on such a lovely shawl.

That looks really wonderful! I love the swallowtail shawl pattern in general but yours looks really ethereal. Terrific knitting! I love blocking wires for some things.

Swallowtail is lovely Laritza.
I know blocking with wires is easier, but still sometimes I end up using pins when wires would do the job.

I don't like blocking either, which is why I have a pile to block right now, Pafuglehale is finally getting blocked today.
